Secure QR Code

QR stands for quick response code, a type of barcode that holds machine-scannable data. A Secure QR code contains a cryptographic algorithm, rendering the information secure and private. Printed Secure QRs are proprietary and can only be imparted by ultra-high definition digital presses under license. Any attempt to copy causes degradation of the code thus preventing reproduction or misuse. Click here to view video.

Goldnote Weight

Each Goldnote’s weight is comprised of the gold content with the balance of weight made up of the polymer layers, ink and adhesive. By example, the average weight of a 1 gram note is +/- 3.70 grams. Every gold fiche within a Goldnote weighs slightly more than the stated weight; in the precious metal investment industry this is known as the “giveaway”. A slight giveaway ensures that the buyer never receives an underweight product.

Polymer Strength

Each note contains a synthetic paper core which is ten times stronger than standard paper banknotes. This substrate is impervious to moisture, and once printed cannot be “bleached” or altered. Further strength and security is added via the clear polymer outer layers, part of a patented structure unique to Goldnote.

XRF Authentication

XRF, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, is a non-destructive analytical technique used to determine the elemental composition of materials. Any solid precious metal piece can be scanned by a hand-held XRF unit to determine the type and purity of content to a very high degree of accuracy ie: .9999%. Notwithstanding the clear polymer layer protecting the gold fiche, Goldnote is 100% scannable by hand-held XRF machines.

Tamper Evident

The construction of Goldnote makes it virtually tear proof. Any attempt to remove, alter or tamper with the gold fiche will be highly evident. The Secure QR Code on each note provides for inviolable authentication.

Goldnote in Your Wallet!

Goldnote is designed to be carried in your wallet. Each note, even the larger denominations with bigger fiches, can be folded on center just like a regular banknote. The ultra-robust materials and construction ensures that they will outlast typical paper banknotes by a factor of 100 to 1, plus the gold will never deteriorate nor its value inflate away!
